You meet at the Boys & Girls Club in a gym?
Yes, because we believe that the church is not about a building; it’s about a community of people. We meet in the gym at the Rutland Boys & Girls Club because we want to be a church in the community, for the community. We are very grateful to the Boys & Girls Club for leasing us space on Sunday mornings – and for their willingness to partner with us in other areas!

What are Sunday mornings like?
You might think that our approach is a bit unique. We value relevance in all that we do. So, we try to utilize every means available to communicate the message of the day. This means we incorporate multimedia and video, drama, contemporary music, as well as messages that are geared toward life-change.

What should I wear?
At The Well there is no dress code. You should wear whatever you like to wear. Our pastor is as likely to be in shorts as blue jeans. We’ve only seen him wear a tie at weddings.

I have kids. Will The Well offer something for them?
The Well is located in a part of Kelowna that is experiencing rapid growth through young families. We really want to be a positive and encouraging force for families. So, we place a high priority on great stuff for Kids. We are committed to providing a safe and fun environment for your children, striving to creatively communicate God's message of love in interesting ways. (Note:  at this time we are still developing our kids programs so, while we do offer child care for pre-school children, we don’t always have something special for the older kids. They are, however, welcome to join you in the main service on Sundays.)

Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?
Short answer: No!  Our aim at The Well is to create a non-threatening environment where everyone can come and find out more about God.

Is The Well affiliated with any other churches or a denomination?
Yes. We are part of the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA). The CRCNA is a biblically based, growing denomination spanning North America, with missionaries around the world. You can find out more about the denomination by checking out www.crcna.org.

Secondly, The Well is affiliated with the Willow Creek Association www.growingleadership.com, a growing movement of churches around the world that use a similar approach in reaching people with the message and love of Christ.

What if I have other questions?
We love questions! We may not always have the answer, but The Well is a place that welcomes not only questions, but challenges to Christianity. If you want to ask the question, we will always sit down, talk together and see what we can learn from each other.

Who will be there?
Anyone who is interested in finding out answers to questions about God and a life with Him is welcome. We welcome and encourage people that have begun a life with God and are looking for a place to grow that is not like the average church. Most of us are young. A lot of us have kids. But all of us are learning and growing in a relationship with God.
